EDUCATION FOR Sustainable Citizenship (ESC)

Education for Sustainable Citizenship: “…provides an optimistic and celebratory approach that emphasises the importance of providing positive role models, and promoting a model of ‘Sustainable Citizenship’ where individuals accept responsibility and take pride in their day to day sustainable actions as part of a global movement towards sustainability.”

So say John Siraj-Blatchford and Lynnette Brock in their 2016 book ‘Education for Sustainable Citizenship in Early Childhood‘ SchemaPlay Publications

John and Lynnette Brock are Directors of SchemaPlay, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that produces publications, resources and training opportunities for Early Childhood Education.
